If green bell peppers give you stomach pain, try red ones. Someone told me that red bell peppers are ripe and green ones are not and that may be why the green ones hurt my tummy. I now eat the red ones and they do not give me pain. With a little research I found that there is a science to this; proteins that require certain enzymes for digestion, etc. I'm just glad I learned I can have the flavor without the gastritis.
